We are thankful for family and for the opportunity we had to drive to Utah and visit our kids and grandkids. And for Laurien and Logan who flew in from Edmonton, Alberta Canada to make the visit with us.
We enjoyed Katie and TJ's YUMMY turkey dinner with all the fixin's. SO much delicious food!
We swam at the indoor hotel pool, and got to see the Temple Square lights all turned on! For a change the weather was very temperate, and we stayed and walked around longer than other years.
Logan and Erik enjoyed meeting each other. They both think of the other as a "baby".
Kind of funny how they think at 6 months and 7 months. Tara showed us how Erik cruises the hardwood floors in his walker. Wow! Looks like the Daytona 500!
Taylor got to stay with us in the 'otel for a few nights. She learned how to make hot chocolate using coffee creamer and thought it was so tasty! We actually were in a room called the "Thunderbird". Felt like some kind of royality!!!
It was sad to leave, but before we did Ken ran in a one of a kind "race" (if you could call it that) with 190 other "Santas". It was a pre-lighting parade fun 5K in Ogden. HILARIOUS!!!!
The ride home went well until we reached Castle Rock. An unpredicted snowfall snarled traffic big time. Instead of a 45 minute drive it took us 3 1/2 hours to get home! We are very thankful for the 2 hour school delay this morning!!! YIPPEE~
