This is a local that poses as "The Lost Dutchman" at the marathon. It is an old tale based on the story of a Dutchman visiting the Superstition Mts, in hope of finding gold. He was said to never have returned, and is wandering the mountains to this day.
We enjoyed sightseeing in the area of the Superstition Mts., and here are some pictures of the Goldfield Ghost Town. It was a prosperous city in the late 1800's where gold was mined.
It is now being restoring to appear as it did back then. There is a narrow gauge railroad, saloon, chapel, shops of the era, and museum.
